Small Works

“As for my small works I have little tiny sketch books, in fact I have ones that are 1.5” x 1.5” from Muckross House and I love doing teeney weeney little sketches, one reason is they fit neatly into my pocket. I have other sketch books that are about 6” x 8” and I can carry them easily in my bag or in the car and I absolutely fill them with sketch after sketch and do paintings from them quite often. In my collection of sketchbooks, which amount to about 75, I glance at them at times and think Oh! my God what a good painting that would make. It’s time - my life is not long enough, days are not long enough, I have so many ideas it is baffling me, it is ridiculous that I have a problem with too many ideas”
